Now that the hard frost has arrived, we pulled up what was left in the vegetable garden.

We grew snow peas, carrots, green beans, cucumbers, and 4 kinds of tomatoes.

This humble 8′ x 4′ bed grew an amazing amount of food. I attribute its success to the soil and compost we used. Sadly, Winterwood Farm, maker of the earth we used, closed its doors last month.

I think I personally ate 2000 Sungold tomatoes this season.

…and then the garden decided to rest for winter under a quilt of leaves. Good night, sleep tight. The end.

It’s amazing what you can do in a small space. Have you thought about adding another bed?
