the garden today

Now that the hard frost has arrived, we pulled up what was left in the vegetable garden.
We grew snow peas, carrots, green beans, cucumbers, and 4 kinds of tomatoes.
This humble 8′ x 4′ bed grew an amazing amount of food. I attribute its success to the soil and compost we used. Sadly, Winterwood Farm, maker of the earth we used, closed its doors last month.
I think I personally ate 2000 Sungold tomatoes this season.
…there is nothing better than the vegetables/fruits we have growth with own hands and love…all taste much better!!!!
seems we were just planting! i’m sad to see the season end.
…and then the garden decided to rest for winter under a quilt of leaves. Good night, sleep tight. The end.
It’s amazing what you can do in a small space. Have you thought about adding another bed?
Love the hinges and leaves make great organic material =)
